The Hogget is situated on a busy junction, but never seems to be busy itself. It was rebuilt in the summer of 2008 when the veranda at the front was added for smokers.

Situated on Rowan Road, this is a bit of Old Tadley. The pub, I've just noticed, has no visible chimneys, it must have had them at some time otherwise it must have been pretty chilly inside!

Baughurst

A red telephone box dwarfed by scotts pine trees in Baughurst.

Boundary stone

This, if you can see it, is a boundary stone between Hampshire and Surrey. It is a relic left over from Turnpike days. Its situated half way between Farnham and Alton.

Hamble

Kingsclere

Still in Kingsclere here's a view of the village green. The road in the foreground used to be the busy A339 between Newbury and Basingstoke, now there is a bypass around the village which has turned the village centre into a peaceful place.

Lamplight

Light in Kingsclere erected to celebrate the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria. It was originally fueled by gas from the villages gas works and later by electricity. These days it is not lit.

Yately village green

Yately village green with the church in the background. The benches belong to the pub, the corner of which you can see on the right. Unfortunately the benches have not seen much use this summer as the weather has been so poor.

Quack Quack

Unusual traffic in Bramley! There are two ponds either side of the road here and the ducks spend all day wadling between the two...... often stopping for a rest in between in the middle of the road.

Grayshott

This is the sign on the Village green in Grayshott. Quite different to the usual village signs.

Spinnaker Tower

The tower, at a height of 170 metres (558 feet) above sea level, is 2.5 times higher than Nelson's Column, making it the tallest accessible structure in the United Kingdom outside London.

Curtis Museum

The Curtis Museum in Alton. The museum is named after its founder, Dr William Curtis (1803-1881) a member of a well-known Alton family. Website here.

September's here and the hedges are full of blackberry's.

Twin Towns

Although I didn't enter this months theme I thought I'd show you who's twinned with Basingstoke. Why Alencon is seperate from the others I really don't know. There are roads in the town named after Alencon and Euskirchen but not Braine.
